Greetings everyone, my name is Jerry and I am an undergraduate student pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of the West Indies (UWI). My goal is to become a fully qualified registered nurse, dedicating my career to providing high-quality healthcare and supporting our local medical system.
The Challenge: Entering the nursing program is incredibly rewarding, but the academic and practical resources required are very costly. Advanced nursing textbooks, clinical practice manuals, medical calculation guides, and essential reference materials are heavily priced. Having immediate access to these core textbooks is absolutely vital for me to pass my theoretical exams, stay on track with my medical lectures, and prepare for my clinical placements on the wards.
The Goal: I have set a fundraising goal of $3,750 TTD to directly cover the cost of my mandatory nursing textbooks the ones I most definitely need so that's why I set the goal so low because anything will count. Securing these resources will allow me to focus entirely on mastering my medical coursework without the heavy stress of falling behind.
