In 2008 the Temperature band was formed by Retired Inspector Malcom Boyce . The band was comprised of the younger members of the Police Band at the time and was known then as the lunch time Band amongst it’s colleagues. The band grew from strength to strength, performing in different functions under Inspector Boyce, while the name was also changed to Temperature. In 2014 the band was taken over but Cedric Urquhart . Cedric took the band to an even higher level by performing in more lucrative engagements where the growth continued. In 2015 Oral Rodriguez approached Cedric to use the band at the Kaiso Showkase calypso tent under both their management. In 2018 the band teamed joined forces with another talented youth band by the name of “Luminous” . The Luminous band was lead by Justin Phillip . In 2019 Oral Rodriguez took over as manager of the band. The Temperature band is now the resident band for the Kaiso Showkase calypso tent, performed at many different events such as great fete Tobago, Nurses fete, Carnival Village, Brass Bachannal just to name a few. As we wind down our virtual concerts one of the last few bands coming to the stage is Brass Bacchanal 2020 winners - Temperature the Band. Temperature is listed as a versatile, and professional dance band founded in December of 2010. The band has performed at carnival fetes, weddings, cocktails, dinners, office parties and charitable functions. The band aims to preserve the rich sounds of the big band era which was made popular by cherished groups such as The Mano Marcellin Dance band, The Joey Lewis Orchestra and Roy Cape All Stars.
