My name is kizzy charles and I am 31 years of age, I have been diagnosed with anaemia for over 15 years now,it was a hard childhood for me when it came to.my health,I was always in and out of hospitals and clinics,even missed alot of my high school days but thanks be to God I still was successful at my exams.
I had to be transfusion ever so often and had to battle with headaches, palpitations among the least..my anaemia got worse that after being in university for two years trying to pursue my bachelors in performing arts,had to withdraw due to me being pale and not having enough blood flow in my brain etc..few days after i withdrew i was warded in the hospital for weeks,my kidney and liver started malfunctioning, i had to.undergo cat scan etc..i struggled for years ,and with doctor's not finding out my problem i suffered for more years,until i met a doctor who understood what i was going through and boom...a solution was close.
by this time I had used up all my iron reserves,my blood count keep going down to 4(comastate) all I could do was to pray and ask God to please let me live,I told him I have a young baby to live for,and I believe that my prayers has kept me alive till date!!
But with all my prayers I still have to do the physical requirements to keep me alive.
I have been diagnosed with a genetic blood disorder which is still undergoing investigation and it requires a huge cost to do so with treatment of $30,000 presently.
I am required to do a general gynecological exam to rule certain things out,out, bone marrow biopsy, they are positive a stem cell transplant.
o ask for your support in this venture so I can live a normal life,so I can be self sufficient and able to take care of my toddler because presently I cannot due to being weak and dizzy all the time.my chronic anemia has even affected my bones which stops me from doing certain things and being fully active.
