My name is Monique Bonair, and I am a Lower Six Form student at St. Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain with a strong passion for academic excellence, leadership, and service. In 2026, I was honoured to earn a scholarship to attend the prestigious Yale Young Global Scholars programme at Yale University, becoming one of a small percentage of students worldwide selected for this opportunity. My journey involved months of dedication, balancing a rigorous application process alongside my Sixth Form studies, and overcoming financial and personal challenges with determination and faith. I am proud to represent Trinidad and Tobago on an international academic platform and hope to use this experience to inspire and mentor other young people while contributing positively to my school, community, and country.
