Our father, Edison Burroughs, has always been the heart and soul of our family. As the sole breadwinner, he worked tirelessly to provide for us, and still managed to make time for the things he loved, especially staying active and enjoying exercise, catering for events and lots more. For years, he was a pillar of strength, always there for us when we needed him. But over the past few months, his world has been turned upside down. After suffering a heart attack, he's been in recovery, trying to regain his health. But on top of that, severe Osteoarthritis has left him unable to walk. His right knee cartilage is completely gone, and the cartilage in his left knee is nearly gone as well. The pain and swelling in both knees have confined him to bed for the last three months, and unfortunately, his condition is not improving. Doctors have told us that he urgently needs knee replacement surgery for both knees in order to regain the ability to walk and get back to living the life he once had. This surgery is his only hope, but the cost of the procedure is beyond what our family can manage. With our dad unable to work, the financial burden of his medical expenses is overwhelming, and we're left in a difficult position. That's why we're reaching out to our community for help.
