Mas Chalay - The Sustainable Mas & Fashion Festival takes place from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th November 2026 at NALIS and the Old Fire Station, Abercromby Street, Port of Spain, culminating in our spectacular Gala & Masquerade Fete on Sunday 15th at Sound Forge.

This Festival is a bold new initiative to reclaim a cleaner, greener future for Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival. Over four powerful days, designers, cultural leaders, decision-makers, and young people will come together to confront the growing health and environmental threats caused by synthetic materials and plastics in carnival, single‑use costumes, and fast fashion. We are tackling the erosion of traditional mas-making practices and championing a return to ancestral craftsmanship, rooted in natural materials, creativity, and cultural pride.
