Hi everyone, my name is Vijai Ramroop, I am a 32 year old entrepenuer, computer engineer and musician. The purpose and goal of my campaign is to be able to provide laptop devices to children of lower income families who are unable to purchase for themselves. The COVID-19 pandemic has put financial strain on alot of lower income familes. Many people have lost jobs and the cost of living is ever increasing in T&T. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to early access to technology and it is my wish that these kids can also have the same opportunity. With your contributions, we will be able get laptop devices in the hands of children who need it the most. Many children have access to high end devices, while many have access to none what so ever. Education in 2020 has moved towards 100% online learning and now a child's success in life depends on the quality of device they are using to attend virtual school and access educational resources. Apart from this campaign I am also trying to gather funds from family and friends to assist with the project. I will be laising with principals and teachers that I know personally to help in deciding which students are really deserving of these devices. We will operate in a transparent manner and provide feed back to all contributors via phone/email as to where your contribution has gone and who it has assisted. If anyone would like to make the trip with us to deliver the laptops you are welcomed! I will be delivering the laptops directly to the recipients and assisting in setting up, updating and educating the parents and children on how to use and maintain the device properly so that it lasts. The devices we will be providing will be brand new and will come with 1yr manufacturer warranty. We will also be providing microsoft office 2019 for each student.
