Hi, my name is Zafaiya, I’m 18 years old and from Trinidad.

I’ve been accepted into the University of Bristol’s Foundation in Law and Social Sciences — a pathway to my dream of becoming a lawyer. This opportunity means everything to me.

I’ve already paid TT$30,000 (£2,000 deposit) toward my tuition, but the university now requires an additional TT$45,000 (£3,000) upfront within the next two weeks to secure my place and issue my student visa.

My mum is a single parent who has always supported me the best she can, even while paying her own school fees. We don’t have the resources to cover this last barrier, and there’s no one else in my family who can help.
