Hello everyone,

My name is Lloyd, and I live here in Trinidad with my wife and our two wonderful children, ages 15 and 9. Back in 2010, my wife and I worked hard, little by little, to build the foundation of our home. It was a dream to give our children a place of comfort and safety. But even after all these years, our home is still incomplete, and the conditions make daily life very challenging for our family.

Currently, we have no ceiling inside, only the bare zinc roofing. This causes the inside of the house to get extremely hot, especially during the day, making it uncomfortable for everyone, especially the kids. We also don’t have a verandah, which means there’s no sheltered outdoor space where our children can play. When it rains, the yard floods easily, the ground turns muddy, and frogs come out, which makes it unsafe and unpleasant for the kids to be outside.

Because of this, our children are forced to spend all of their time indoors when not in school or at social events. As parents, it breaks our hearts to see them unable to enjoy the simple joy of playing outside in their own yard. Every child deserves a safe, comfortable place to grow up, and we want to give that to them.

We are asking for your kind support to help us complete our home renovations. Your donation will go directly towards:

• Building a proper ceiling to keep the house cool and livable.

• Adding a verandah so our children can have a safe space to play and enjoy fresh air.

• Improving the landscaping so the outdoors can be more welcoming and free from flooding and mud.

This home is more than just a building to us, it’s where we are raising our children, where we share meals, laughter, and memories. With your help, we can finally make it the safe and comfortable space our family needs and deserves.
