My name is Karim Roberts, founder of Ultrafinish and Company, a Trinidad and Tobago-based business established in 2018. Due to unemployment rate in our country at this time I'm reaching out for assistance in launching this fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $60,000 to help restart and expand the business into a stronger, more sustainable operation that can create meaningful and steady employment opportunities for people in our community.

Why I Am Asking for Your Support

Behind every small business is a dream, but turning that dream into something sustainable requires your help and resources. My vision for Ultrafinish and Company goes beyond simply earning an income. I want to build a company that can provide opportunities for people locally and internationally who are willing to work, learn a trade, develop their skills and build a better future for themselves and their families. With the right startup capital, I intend to invest my time efforts in planning,mentoring and training equipments, materials, transportation, marketing and working capital necessary to secure brighter outcome for all and to win more jobs and complete projects.

What We Do

Ultrafinish and Company provides professional finishing, painting, maintenance and related property improvement services for residential and commercial clients. Our goal is to deliver quality workmanship, professionalism, safety and reliability on every project. As the business grows, additional workers can be brought into projects and trained in practical skills.

How the $60,000 Will Help

Funds raised will be directed toward establishing a stronger operational foundation, including:

• Purchasing professional tools and equipment
• Purchasing materials for upcoming projects
• Transportation and vehicle-related business expenses
• Business insurance, and administrative costs
• Marketing and advertising
• Safety equipment and work gear
• Initial wages and support for workers
• Working capital to take on larger contracts
• Training and development of workers
• Building the company's capacity to secure recurring commercial maintenance contracts

The Bigger Vision

I don't want this campaign to simply fund a business. I want it to help create an opportunity pipeline. The long-term vision is to develop Ultrafinish and Company into a business capable of employing and training people in practical trades while providing quality services to homes, businesses and organizations throughout Trinidad and Tobago. Someone who receives an opportunity to work can gain more than a paycheck. They can gain experience, confidence, skills and the ability to provide for their family. That is the type of impact I want this business to create.
