Help My Little Girl Get Urgent Essential Medication. I am a mother of two from Trinidad and Tobago, reaching out with a humble request for help for my two-year-old daughter, who has had a stroke in july followed with constant seizures and requires ongoing medication to help manage her condition. She has lost the ability to walk and through massages and minor leg exercises, has started crawling slowly. Watching my little girl go through this has been one of the most frightening and heartbreaking experiences of my life. She has experienced involuntary twitching and seizures and despite receiving medical care, we are still working with her doctors to manage her seizures and understand what is causing them. My daughter has been prescribed Keppra (levetiracetam) and gabapentin as part of her treatment. Unfortunately, the cost of her medication has become a serious financial burden. Her medication expenses come to approximately TT$600 per month, and I am struggling to afford the next supply. One of her medications has already run out, and I am urgently trying to get help. As a mother, it is heartbreaking to be in a position where finances make it difficult to obtain medication my child has been prescribed. I am trying my best to provide for both of my children, but right now, I cannot keep up with the cost as well as her daily needs. I am hoping to raise TT$1,200 to help cover approximately two months of my daughter's medication costs. This would give me some breathing room to keep working towards a more stable way of meeting her ongoing medical needs, rather than having to worry about finding the full amount again next month. I am not asking for anything extravagant. I am simply asking for a little help to make sure my daughter has access to her prescribed medication while I work through these financial difficulties.
