IMPORTANT NOTICE:
YOUR CARD STATEMENT WILL SHOW AS BLUE GURUZ INC.

Hi everyone. My name is Jasmine Cumberbatch, and I am 21 years old. I am appealing to your generosity to assist me in pursuing my aspiration to study medicine.
I grew up in Diego Martin and attended St. Ursula's Girls' Anglican Primary School. I then went on to Bishop Anstey High School, Port-of-Spain (B.A.H.S). While at B.A.H.S I served as the Deputy Head Girl, Vice President of the Student Council, and Deputy House Captain.
Having deeply enjoyed growing up in the church, I became, and still am, an active member in the youth group, servers' guild as well as the Regional Youth Council. At an early age I came to the realization that God had placed within me a burning passion to pursue medicine.
During my late teens, I spent most of my time volunteering at Vitas House, a hospice for terminally ill cancer patients. There I assisted in caring for the sick. It was at this establishment that I became aware of the extensive care required for the terminally ill. Shortly thereafter, my grandmother was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer. This strengthened my resolve to dedicate my life to service in the medical field. I was also allowed the opportunity to volunteer at Anatomical Pathology Services Limited, where I assisted in the preparation of biopsies so that they could be viewed under the microscope for diagnosis of diseases.
However, I yearned for the expansion of my knowledge and skills to be able to serve those around me which led me to apply to the University of the West Indies, to read for the Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery degree (MBBS) for the academic year 2021/2022. I was later accepted but had to defer my acceptance to the following year due to my financial situation.
After accumulating all possible funds, I have a total amount of $85,000.00 TTD outstanding for the first academic year.
It is my plan to work towards a scholarship which will eliminate the need for the funding in the years to come. I intend to give back to my country and community by providing my time, skills and expertise upon completion of my studies.
I would be beyone grateful for your support to help me accomplish this dream.
