Our Mission
Sooner than Later Intervention Services (STLIS) is an inclusive early-childhood and intervention centre led by Dr. Lenisa N. Joseph, an early-intervention specialist and university lecturer with over 15 years of experience supporting children with developmental and learning differences. We serve children with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, speech and language delays, and other developmental challenges providing early education and intervention, assessments, therapy, and parent coaching in one welcoming environment.
Our vision is to build a model of inclusive care for Trinidad and Tobago that ensures children receive help sooner, not later.
Because every child deserves a sooner start — not a later chance.
Our Goal: 30 Children × 12 Months = Lasting Change
When a parent hears, “Let’s wait and see,” it can feel like time stands still. At Sooner than Later Intervention Services (STLIS), we know every day matters for a child who is not yet talking, struggling to focus, or finding it hard to connect with others. Early intervention changes that story, unlocking communication, mobility, confidence, and joy. But across Trinidad and Tobago, many families simply cannot afford or access the early education, therapy or assessments they need.
We’re raising TT$420,000 to provide early childhood education, assessments, intervention, and therapy for children who would otherwise have to wait. Your support will give them a chance to thrive — right here at home.
Your generosity will directly fund:
Our commitment to donors includes:
Your trust matters to us and we promise to show you exactly how your generosity changes lives.
Why It Matters
Because early help prevents lifelong challenges.
Because inclusion builds stronger communities.
Because hope is strongest when it’s shared.
Your donation of any amount brings a child closer to their potential and gives parents the reassurance that help has arrived. Together, we can change the story for families who have waited too long.
Thank You
Thank you for believing that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, communicate, and belong. Please donate and share this campaign with friends, family, or colleagues.
