I am Sherwin Jack, a 45 year old father of three children asking for some hope as I would like to see them all grow up.
My journey with End Stage Kidney Disease began (though I did not know it at the time) with Chronic Hypertension; while attending clinic appointments for years there was no diagnosis revealing this condition at an early stage.
Symptoms of unwarranted fatigue, nausea and vomitting, cramps and swelling of feet, change in appetite, itchy skin, shortness of breath and some disorientation where all chalked up to side effects of the numerous medication I was already on. A persistent cough and the inability to not bring up my meals for over a week caused me to visit the Emergency Room; where tests were done that resulted in my diagnosis of End Stage Kidney Disease in 2022.
Since December of that year I have been doing Peritoneal Dialysis daily, at this point I have lost tremendous weight and still experience nausea and vomitting after some meals, I am also unable to work and resigned from my job for medical reasons.
This year I have started developing ulcers on my toes that are extremely painful and take a very long time to heal.
I am a candidate for organ transplant and am seeking assistance for donors or monetary support.
