TORNADOES STEEL ORCHESTRA – KEEPING THE MUSIC ALIVE
Welcome to the home of TORNADOES STEEL ORCHESTRA, a medium sized steel band that has been a cultural beacon in our community for decades with approximately ninety talented members 85% who are vibrant young musicians under the age of twenty three. Tornadoes, is more than just a band we are family, a legacy and a source of inspiration for generations.
But this journey has not been easy. Since the closure of Dunlop and the subsequent cessation of operations of of Petrotrin, our main source of support. Tornadoes has faced immense financial challenges. We are struggling to maintain our instruments, host rehearsals and even provide uniforms for our players. Despite these hardships our determination remains unwavering.
Tornadoes Steel Orchestra is gearing up to compete at National Panoramas but we need your help to get there.
The road to panorama is demanding. It requires funding for transportation, instrument repairs, tuning of pans, costumes and countless hours of preparation. With your support we can represent our community, showcase our talent and keep the spirit of pan alive for future generations. Join us on this incredible journey.
