It takes a community to raise a child.

In our community, Founder Indira Alexander has been quietly living out this truth by supporting at-risk children in a very real and practical way.

Each afternoon after school, she provides them with hot, nourishing meals, with dumplings and stewed chicken quickly becoming a favourite among the children. For many of them, this is more than just food; it is comfort, care, and consistency.

But this initiative goes far beyond meals.

Indira has also created a small homework support centre where children can receive academic help, stay on track with their schoolwork, and access basic school supplies they might otherwise go without. The vision is to give them a safe, structured space where they can learn, grow, and simply be children.

At present, this work is being sustained entirely out of pocket. Alongside caring for her own family, Indira and her small team are doing all they can, but the need has now outgrown their personal resources.

Funds are urgently needed to:

* Continue providing daily hot meals for the children
* Purchase essential school supplies
* Improve shelter by acquiring larger tents with proper wall backing to protect the children from rain and harsh weather, or even erecting a proper concrete structure
* Sustain and expand the homework support programme

Without proper shelter, weather conditions often disrupt the children’s learning and safety during evening sessions.

These children are our future, and with the right support today, we can help shape a stronger tomorrow.
