Hi everyone! I’ve been accepted to volunteer as an Activity Instructor at Gilwell Park in England for those who don't know, Gilwell Park is the historic home of the Scouting movement and a premier center for outdoor education.This 6-month placement is a dream come true for me. I’ll be on the front lines, leading people through high-ropes courses, archery, climbing, team-building exercises and much more that help them discover their own potential. As a volunteer, I am dedicating my time and energy to mentoring youth and adults from all over the world. While my housing and basic needs are covered once I arrive, I am responsible for the cost of my round-trip airfare and visa fees, nn which I've already covered the expenses for my visa but I need assistance for my airfare.I’ve always been passionate about the outdoors and the impact of hands-on leadership. By serving at Gilwell Park for 6 months, I’m not just going on a trip, I’m gaining world-class training and giving back to a global community. I want to bring the skills I learn in the UK back home to continue leading in our own community and group. I've been in the movement from the age of 7 and now I'm 20 currently working towards becoming a leader within my group. My goal is to raise $7000 to cover my flight and travel expenses.
