For more than sixty (60) years, not far from the churchyard is the Guaracara River. For many years we have visited the River and Drainage Department in Penal, St. Madeleine and Port of Spain informing them that we would like to erect a wall near to the river.

Princes Town Regional Corporation visited the church on Thursday, February 27th, 2025. During the visit, we were informed that the church would be required to supply all necessary materials, while the Corporation would provide labour and machinery. However, due to our small membership, this requirement presents a significant challenge.

The Drainage Division from St. Madeleine made a site visit but nothing more was done. A visit was made to Mrs. Neela Khan, who at the time was parliament representative for Princes Town, she suggested that we should fix the situation ourselves, which is costly.

We are extremely concerned as the river is dangerously encroaching near the church, and this poses a serious threat not only to the church but also to the surrounding residents.
