My name is Daniel Dasent-Thomson, and I am currently a member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Taekwondo Team. I am currently hard at work preparing for the 2025 World Championships, which will be held from October 24th–30th in Wuxi, China. I am currently in México training alongside the Mexican team as I prepare for this grand tournament.

Before attending the World Championships, I intend on competing a minimum of two times to gauge where I am and what needs to be improved before such a critical tournament. These two tournaments will be the Korea Open and the President's Cup.

Attending these tournaments and my training, along with obtaining new training gear, is extremely expensive, and therefore, I require some assistance in being able to make history in becoming the World Champion from Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean in the sport of taekwondo.

Upon winning gold at the World Championships, I would be close to qualifying my spot at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. I would be making history not only for TrinidadandTobagobutthe entire Caribbean in the sport of taekwondo. Obtaining a gold medal at the World Championships and subsequently the Olympics will be tremendous for Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean in general, as no one in the region has ever done this. I dream of becoming a pioneer for taekwondo in the region with my success at the Olympics.

Any funds raised will go directly to assisting me to keep my dream of Olympic gold alive and write history for the Caribbean.
